They are actually unloading salt at the docks! By the thousand tonne load!! they spray it with an oil apparently to preserve it, just supplied the pump to their spec!
Dont know the technicallities.
They had a 13 tonne machine in the hold of a ship with a burst hose last Saturday, had to climb down n do the repair...Trust me IT WAS SALT!!!!
