Yes it was on the top left as you walked up Waterloo Road between a garage and a house called 'Libeda'. They used to do a lot of weddings there.

the doorman at the late extra was called patrick, and he was from Ireland.

the place you are writting about was whitbys dairies,laterly it was known as german jacks.

the drinking club and function rooms in waterloo road was originally called whitbys,at the rear of the building were some sheds there were some hand drawn milk floats for home delivery of milk, that was in the late 50s. in the 70s the drinking den was known as german jacks.
