Thanks for all those-some excellent old views.Just one small query. The 1st one is New Ferry i think, with that bit of shore known as The Gap . Road then rises steeply up to the New Ferry pier entrance . You mention some previous shots of New Ferry , I have not seen those yet ! My computer skills are NOT as good as yours ! I wonder how i get at those ?
Yeah. Great stuff. Thanks for posting them. I have some old photos of Rock Ferry / Tranmere / New Ferry. I will dig them out in the next few days and figure out how this scanner works and upload them.
The Stone Pier you can see beside the metal one above, is still present at the end of Rock Lane East, beside tranmere oil terminal, in fact some of the metal pier is still there as well.

years ago there used to be a plaque by the esplande enterance, i told my children about it and they must have thought me nuts because i couldnt find it to show them...anyway on Sunday we paid a visit to the Priory and tucked away behind an alchove in the museum my daughter was poking around the dark space and asked me to take a look...and there it was!!! anyway got a pic but its really bad and upside down!!! must go back and take another pic!! i cant read it from the pic!! ugh
