The media are as bad as the plebs who wish to pay tribute to him on the Facebook page, or wish to portray him as a legend imho... So what the effin hell if there is a page on Facebook for him, it is the media who are sensationalising it, not the owner of the page, it is the media who are spreading the word etc... if they just kept their fkin gobs shut and didnt print it, then the guy would not have an army of a million followers all ready to pay tribute on the facebook page.
As far as im concerned, facebook is mainly full of shite, people "liking" anything and everything that comes along, whether it be good or bad, even when it contradicts something they supposedly stand for or "liked" earlier on! People seem to have no lives nowadays so they spend all day looking for things to like on facebook, this facebook page is in the media, so the usual media slaves will instantly like it, in the same way they do anything else the media sensationalises (look at how the media sensationalise these [censored] drugged up celebrities and then within hours, becuase they are in the papers, the brainless youth of today suddenly become their number one fans etc).
As for it being removed from facebook, leave it, if people want to be so sad/stupid to like things and join groups for crap like this, then so be it, each to their own, lets just hope they never become victim of the actions of the next moron like this.
I can't see what is wrong with paying tribute to these types of things on the internet, so long as it does not break any actual laws, where lie the problem? The internet is a place of freedom, and nobody is ever forced to look at these silly websites... I sell my web services to clients, I provide and manage the systems and infrastructure their web services run on and that is as far as it goes. They can do what the hell they want on it, so long as it is complies with the terms and conditions of service that they agree to when they sign up. If they want to create a website praising Moat or Hitler, then so be it, so long as it remains within the law of the land. I don't delve into what my clients are doing, and I don't expect Facebook to do so either - I take action when I am alerted to illegal contentor notice any processes on the backend that may be utilized for malicious means (spam or DoS etc), but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and their own views on life, so let them have it is my motto. In all likelyhood, there are probably websites and broadcasts etc that do not agree with my principles or ideology in life, utilizing my network, but so long as it is not illegal, they are free to do what the hell they want to.
Three threads on wikiwirral about Moat... obviously people on here enjoy talking about him, and this is the reason he is now a legend, a celebrity, because the people and the media are turning him into one. Should Mark now remove all traces of Moat threads on wiki to remove the legendary status of the guy on wiki? There were people off these forums raving and seemingly loving the whole moat scenario the other day on Facebook, but I doubt they see him as a legend or anything other than a cold-blooded murdered who deserved to be shot dead, they were just going along with the fanfare being generated by the media.
The media have a lot to answer for, and have to bear a lot of the blame for the broken society we live in today - even moreso maybe than the goverment, for both our social and financial troubles! The media should never be censored imho, but they should learn to be responsible - for instance they portray cheating in relationships as the thing to be seen doing, sensationalise and big-up celebrities when they cheat on each other constantly, print all the gory details and go on about it for months, and generally make out that cheating is simply a part of normal life, and then attack successive governments and the general public for the high levels of marriage breakdowns leading to single parent families etc. Just like they moan about the children of London carrying guns and gun crime, and then rave about the latest US gun-promoting "gangster" rap-artist single, telling their readers how great it is and they should buy it and listen to it!
And for the record, by media, I mean the "respected" organisations such as newspapers, magazines and television - not Facebook or Twitter.

I am not a member of Facebook, never have been and probably never will be, so i don't really know what goes on, on there, I'm surmising that if there was any nudity or child pornography submitted it would be removed immediately, because it would be the decent thing to do, apart from breaking any laws, and there must be loads of topics that would be removed that are not necessarily breaking any laws, but because its the decent thing to do. In my view its the decent thing to do, removing the thread on Moat. I sometimes wonder where common decency has gone, how can anyone in their right mind applaud anyone who has ruined so many lives. I doubt not one of those on Facebook would stand before his victims or victims families and proclaim Moat a legend then, and that's the problem with these forums, people will write stuff they wouldn't be prepared to say face to face, two faced sheep in my opinion with very little brain and no sense of the realities of life.
God help us, Come yourself, Don't send Jesus, This is no place for children.
