Tbh, the Ti i had was slow, thats why sub seven secs seemed quicker to me, then again it was a p/x i bought from 3 counties so it may of been fooked anyroad, i only bought it for the dump valve and a bit of fun Oh and am i right in thinking that the 2.0 litre turbo from the ti or 800 will fit in an MGF with no problems?

Got let down with the BRM... so still looking for either a 200vi and also an MGF 145 or possibly a TF160 (but the MGF is a better looker imho, even if it isnt so modern looking, I like retro lol).

I've had a few Rovers and found them to be hugely under-rated. Obviously feeling the pinch, Rover actually 'cheapened' their cars after 2002/3 by deleting a load of options and using cheaper parts, or none at all (like anti-roll bars, sound deadening and spare wheel).

I`ve had 2 rover 820`s - no problems 1 rover 100 GTA, headgasket! new bolts, headskim, gaskets, airblocked, fixed, got rid. rover 216 coupe, no problems. and a rover 620Ti no problems although the gear lever was all over the place which was a good thing coz i could leave it running outside the shop and no-one would be able to drive off in it
