The Bath House at Rock Ferry was built some time before 1837 as it is shown on the Rock Park Estate deeds produced in that year.

It originally had a central keeper's facility with a row of bathrooms off corridors on both sides. The building was later converted into seperate cottages.

In 1989 the building was still standing, and was the oldest building in Rock Park, it has now been demolished.

The picture below is from about 1906.

The house you refer to is probably St Margaret's Convent (there is a topic on it somewhere).

In 1890 St Margaret's was opened as a Rescue Home. A small group of the Sisters of Charity came from Mount St Anne's in Dublin to take charge of the home at the request of the Bishop of Shrewsbury.

A public laundry was opened to provide work for the girls and to provide an income to support them.

The laundry closed in 1947 and the property was put up for auction in September of that year. There was not a single bidder for the building, so it was decided to turn St Margaret's into a home for retired ladies.

It closed in 2004.
