Was there any AA placements on the hill and where? I'm sure I have read there were but not found out whereabouts. I also thought there was AA behind where Vyner primary school is? There is a raised area on that field... Please could you indicate the locations, I don't know the school.

I can remember my old man telling me about when a Zeppelin was allowed to fly around the UK on courtesy visits to various parts. Of course they went to all the strategic sites and he particularly remembered it flying up the lines of docks on Merseyside, Birkenhead Docks being one of them. It was obviously on an intelligence collecting mission and sighting targets for the near future. Details of this must be somewhere.
