WHOA! didn't see that coming a ghost of a little girl excellent find.

Looks like there is a man on the second picture in that set too. Tall, with his hands behind his back, wearing a black peaked hat.

nope i dont see it. it might be the way the shadows have fallen from the light near the exit sign but i'm guessing on that part.

He must have jusr snuffed it then as he's wearing the attire of that age! (1933)

actually on closer inspection i can make him out. wow!

These apparent ‘ghosts’ are often seen on old photographs and are a result of the very long exposures needed in those days. The girl in the Gaumont picture will have been standing on the corner for part of the exposure, she will either have walked into the picture during the exposure, or was there at the start and walked out before the end of the exposure. There are also ‘ghosts’ in front of the doors in bri445’s picture of the Ritz at night.

I remember my dad would take us here,and he would make us stand at the end of the film while they played God save the Queen,he took us there to see Lawrence of Arabia, i was bored stiff!!the only good thing about was the ice cream in the interval!!well.....i wanted to see Cliff Richard in The Young Ones but my brother wanted to see Lawrence of Arabia,so that's what we saw!!!!

It used to be called the flea pit! i never got any fleas from there!!!
