Thieves target disabled Wallasey man
A HOUSE-BOUND man was left “very shaken” after thieves smashed their way into his Wallasey home.
The victim, 50, was woken up after a brick was thrown through a window at his home in Cherrybank.
Two offenders, a man and a youth, then came into the man’s bedroom and moved his wheelchair so he could not move around.
They stole an Xbox, Wii and Sony Play Station consoles, computer games, two Sony televisions and a 50-inch Panasonic flat screen television.
A Merseyside police spokeswoman said: “The victim has been left very shaken by the incident and the loss of his property.
“As he is house-bound for the majority of his time, the games and TVs kept him occupied.”
Police are appealing for witnesses following the burglary at around 9.10pm last Monday.
The first offender is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, in his early 20s, of slim build with short mousy hair and wearing a black tracksuit.
The other offender is described as white, around 16 years old, of slim build with short dark hair and wearing a grey tracksuit.
