A WOMAN was confronted by an armed robber when she was on her way into work in a shop in Moreton.
A member of staff opened the Card Warehouse store in Hoylake Road at 8.25am, on Tuesday, December 23, when she was met by a man who was already in the building.
He was armed with a metal pole and pulled her by her clothing to the shop safe.
The robber told her to open it and took a quantity of cash which was mainly in bags of small change and escaped through the rear of the building.
He is described as white, between 35 and 40 years old, around 6ft tall, of stocky build and he had a deep voice with a local accent and was wearing a navy blue balaclava, blue tracksuit bottoms, white trainers and possibly a navy blue knitted jumper.
