Thanks Dava am always looking for books on Local History. Just bought one on ebay called "A Perambulation of the Wirral Hundred in the County of Chester" by Harold Edgar Young. Written in 1909 it a fascinating incite into what life was like at that time. Full of cools pics as well. Recommend it if you haven't already got it.

Good book that one lads, bought it years ago for six shilling = 30p, Here is a page from it on ships that dropped cargo off at West Kirby and Hilbre around 1565-1572.

God help us,
Come yourself,

If anyone wants to look at some more, well worth while! Not as good as holding it in your hand but as good as if you're sat an a computer!
