i know mate it's 3-4 meetings which i have to pay for, annoys me i have to pay someone to tell me when i can see my daughter. I have threatened court but the cost would kill me, mediation is £180 per hour plus VAT of which we pay half each, she gets legal aid so it's free for her. so i', paying £90 per hour and it takes and hour and half per session.

mark its mediation not meditation O bollox i'm so tired and ill. WOW That's so wrong. I'm amazed that you cant get legal aid? I say that because my view (Maybe not right) but why should the cost of what ever be the deciding factor in seeing your child or not. I know it can be an expensive long haul. £4,500 and the rest it cost a relative through family courts, and his ex got all the legal aid she wanted and Barristers too. £180 per Hour Do you get fed there? Do you get a bathrobe you can take with you... What do you get for £180 then ?? Never been, but my advice for that kind of money dont storm out in the first 5 mins.... I am SHOCKED truly SHOCKED

I know got a feeling i'm going to want to storm out. Mediation
...an attempt to bring about a peaceful settlement or compromise between disputants through the objective intervention of a neutral party.
Family Mediation Accreditation Scheme
Mediation involves a trained, neutral, impartial third-party using special skills to resolve a dispute, whether or not the parties have already commenced litigation.
Mediation differs from litigation and arbitration, in which a third-party (the judge or arbitrator) makes a binding decision about a dispute and informs the parties of it.
The Family Mediation Accreditation Scheme's purpose is to ensure that the legal profession and the public can easily identify solicitors and legal executives who provide mediation services in family and matrimonial disputes.
Family mediators may specialise in either children-only or financial-only mediation. However, scheme members have an awareness and knowledge of all family mediation issues.
Only solicitors and legal executives (ie Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives, or FILEXs) who meet the SRA's exacting requirements are permitted to join the scheme.
When you see the Family Mediation Accreditation Scheme logo, you'll know that the practitioner's skills, knowledge and experience have been rigorously and independently assessed.

For £20 i will bang your heads together...
Reading between the lines there, from your quote i'm seeing the words RIP OFF.
I hope it works out mate. Do you pay this up front the £180 or can you pay weekly as in £2 per week until the child is 18 ???

£180 is an absolute rip-off, im sure social service's do the same sort of service for free to help families at war?? Is this a mate of her solicitor's or summit?
How come ye can't claim the legal aid, Djibril Cisse claimed legal aid a few times and he was on a reported £48,000 a week after tax lmao!
This country sucks!
