 Stu - you got a long way to go matey - dont think theres much that will touch one of those on a twisty set of lanes with the right driver....

but i can keep up with it........to 70mph. my car handles like a go-kart, only weights a max of 700kgs. oh and only stage one is complete. i do want small things like central locking, mapable ignition, and to sort some rust out.
then i'm aming for 200hp, not from this engine though......

Stu - you got a long way to go matey - dont think theres much that will touch one of those on a twisty set of lanes with the right driver.... vx220....its still a vauxhall!!!! not as great as everyone makes out or believes...they trade on a reputation built by lotus.... yup ive driven a vx220 turbo thats been tweaked to over 280 bhp...and i wasnt that impressed!

Unfortunatly, I dont think the phrase "poor mans Lotus" is gonna help the Mini  Somewhere really tight and twisty, like 3 Sisters I can see the Mini doing very well, but on a faster track, I recon the power of the Vauxhall will be more of an advantage - also remember though, the VX has a much bigger engine than the Mini. Its a grudge match Id like to see

yes numb nuts...lotus had an "input" on the vx220...hence why it trades on their reputation..when after all of that its STILL a vauxhall!
me thinks a well sorted mini like stu's in a twisty road would give a straight vx220 a pasting!...and thats something id like to see!

I did think this was a topic on stu's car not wether you did or didnt like the vx220, to be honest I think they are a really nice car even though it is a vauxhall, sounds like your a bit jealous to me, but hey thats oppinion the same as your oppinion on vauxhalls lol
