I used to love these bad boys and the sierra rs500, i was a real 80's boy when it comes to cars, the golden age for alot of car design.

Tony...i personally disagree...i think it depends solely on whether or not people know a good car when they see it..not from what they were brought up on....i fookin adore mk1 and mk2 escorts.....ok, my fave car is the old imprezas (k reg) but given the choice id have a mk2 over an impreza..as for the rs200...fantastic car, but its the only car in the world that scares the living crap outta me. however..i always preferred the metro 6r4s..simply cos of that lovely engine sound they make...wow

Tony...i personally disagree...i think it depends solely on whether or not people know a good car when they see it But your opinion of a good car probably differs from 99% of the population, so a car you consider to be a good car, doesnt mean that it is a good car because in your words you are one of the people who knows "a good car when you see it", its just your opinion. There are plenty of people from the older generation who will argue the Morris Minor 1000 was good car, and that they know "good car when they see it", but it doesnt mean it nessescarily is, and certainly not that everyone should think it is, otherwise they don't know "a good car when theys ee it".

All true peps.
The only prob with the r200 is the 50/50 drive making them hard to drive so to speak.
Forgot about the 6r4 they were and still are great cars.
drifting drifting and yet more skidding

It was the RS200 that was involved in the accident that got group B banned, though Im a little confused as to why they made an "Evolution" model so late after they where banned (Unless it was just registered late) (I also wonder if its an overbored 1.8 - as per to originals, or based on the 2.0 cosworth engine?)
The looks are more to suit the purpose than please the eye, monster car, monster power, but at £100k it'd be a serious club competition car.
My only fear is someone will buy it, stick it in a garage, take it for a trundle a few times a year to keep it moving, and trailer it to shows.
Its too much for a road car, but its a lot of money to be chucking round forest stages lol
