Help needed as I'm a bit thick .My Daughter is on benefits & qualifies for the Warm Home scheme but as its not guaranteed she has to reapply every year between certain dates November to March which this year she did only to be told she didn't need to anymore as it would be automatically put into her bank. Still with time to apply she rang her supplier then the help line only to be told she didn't qualify as the rules had changed & it now depends on the energy rating of the property. I wrote to the MP asking for clarification & she passed it to DWP. Time was running out & yesterday a photo copy letter arrived saying she didn't qualify as she was to late applying ! The phone number is now useless as the scheme is closed. Its £150 which is badly needed as it must be for thousands of people.Why was this change never on the news or did I just miss it ?.Regardless of the energy rating my Daughters living in an ice box she cant afford heating. Anyone out there with same problem?

Didn't vote them in Excoriator & definitely won't this year. There must be thousands in the same position. Surely if energy rating of a property is good that only applies if the tenant can afford to heat it.Thank goodness Summer is only around the corner.
