I was a member of Total Fitness gym in Prenton from 2011 until last year. They, like every one else, introduced a 12 month, no cancellation contract.
I got sick of them, so left after seven years and now I'm looking for another place as I'm getting blobby.
I just don't want a contract which is cheaper, or no contract which is £20+ per month (DW Fitness). I don't mind paying for a decent gym, but the whole contract thing is a bit scammy and un-neccessary. I'm not paying a for mortgage.
I work overseas so I'm only in the country on/off.

24/7 fitness at Bromborough has day passes or monthly no-contract membership.
DW Fitness also in Bromborough do monthly membership.

Not my thing really but I used to be a member of David Lloyd’s for racquet sports and swimming, a relative was member of 24/7 and had no problems. Just pop along and see.

One in Arrowe Park business centre thats 24/7. No idea what its like. My lad been going crossfit in birkenhead sorry dont know the payment arrangements

Have you tried the gym at Leasowe Castle hotel, small but well equiped & great personal trainers if needed. Theres also a gym at Moreton Cross in the old bingo hall on Pasture Rd .
