Hi. I have just purchased a Samsung Tab 2 10" mainly to use while on sleeps in work. Have managed to install other channels but it wont support ITVHub. Does anyone know of an alternative App I could use please. (Just for catch up itv) The tab is fully updated. Many thanks.

If you're using an ad-blocker, then it's likely that ITV's application is refusing to play.
You WANT advertisements! You NEED advertisements! Go on. Shut the ad-blocker off. You know it makes sense!

I can't even download the App. Ad blocker is disabled anyway. I have been told I can update the OS but not through Samsung. Having looked at Youtube videos it looks complicated. I'm no geek.. lol

Is it rooted?
IME Samsung will not allow rooted devices to upgrade their firmware, it says an update is available but will not allow you to do it. It could also be the reason why ITV will not work (although doubtful), Netflix has put systems in place to try and block rooted devices accessing it. There has been a real clamp down on rooted devices by some companies recently.
I would try downloading and testing some older versions of ITV from apkmirror before looking at upgrades, etc.

It could also be the reason why ITV will not work (although doubtful), Channel 4 doesn't allow its 4OD app on rooted devices, so you could be onto something.
