It was still closed at 4:30pm (following a great tradition of delays), however it was open by about 5:30pm

Following others down long forgotten trails, spoken only of in legend, I crossed the fabled bridge today into a strange land, that hasn't been seen by man in an eternity. The pristine roads soon gave way to litter strewn streets and strange hooded beings skulking furtively in shadowy corners.

Been over it a few times now, it actually seems wider than the old bridge. I'm a bit concerned about the hydraulic pipes and other technical bits being unprotected.
The fixed bridge that was replaced appears to have a droop in the guard rails on the river side.
