She's having a rally rough time atm. Pouring with rain, and the howling wind is swaying her nest back and forth. Where does the dad go ?

mum and dad take it in turns to baby sit and catch food and they watch the nest close by just out of camera shot

I'm really looking forward to seeing the bears of Katmai again.They will be coming out of hibernation soon, hoping to see some familiar bears and of course old bear Otis, hope he made it. Trouble is I get so hooked watching it nothing gets done.

Also looking forward to the bears and hopefully Otis. I wonder what happens if he doesn't appear. Would they look for his den ?

These webcams are amazing, yep one false step and that little ones a goner...no I don't think they know where the dens are but I know the rangers came across bones and skull of a bear and they were able to identify and name him, Lurch he was called and they showed him fishing at the falls ,quite sad knowing he was now dead. I watch alot of the Alaska shows and the people who live there, I've gotten to know the characters but alot of it is sustenance hunting,I can't watch when they shoot and they shot a bear, I thought at least the Katmai ones are pretty protected.

ooo i will have to watch the bears as well (if i find time ha) what i find fascinating is that the eagle nest is larger than a king size bed!

Wow, must do that pretty regularly I suppose , to build up a gathering that big . Bit too Alfred Hitchcock for me , so glad Im watching film and not in person lol .

Well it beats seeing people feeding the pidgeons downtown, quite amazing..I couldn't live in Alaska ,too cold for one but it is a fantastic place with nature and it's awesome wildlife. Would love to visit one day.

Just got a quick peak before mum sat on them again. They are growing quickly but one looked as if it's eyes were not yet open. See the size of mums feet as comparison.
