alas all dogs are prone to health problems.and i take your points regarding short-nosed dogs. i have had an alapaha bulldog for 5 years, and grew up with an old english bulldog. no dog comes with a guarantee, i have a 3rd generation mongrel that developed diabetes and also became blind. the main point of the group is to discuss and learn about the breed.exchange experiences and allow people to make informed choices to me, the kennel club are nothing but Mengeles. but the main point is to enjoy our pets

this fella is in perfect health, doesn't grunt and snort, The other problem with squashed face dogs is the brain getting squeezed down the spine preventing spinal fluid flowing correctly and killing off the spine whilst causing a lot of pain (Syringomyelia, SM) - as well as the problems with eyes due to them bulging and being pushed out.
However the above picture looks like fairly normal dog to me.
