It's been so nice this week weather wise I decided time to mow the lawn and tidy up the hedges today. I was given the hedge cutters and warned be careful you don't cut through the wire. So there I am feeling all powerful like something out of the chainsaw massacre movie and bang straight through the wire, what a plonker I am! First time I'd used them. Unbelievable!! I will have to get my son to look at them see if they can be repaired. Grrrrrrrrr fed up with myself....

Cable block connector, insulation tape, good as new,I cut the cable all the time. P.S. The fuse will probably have blown.

Thanks Lud for that will get my son on the job. It seems to be a common mistake, will try my hardest not to let it happen again .

I have done this hundreds of times Cools.
Sometimes i thought the cutters tripped the electric or the fuse has went.
But was my fault i cut the wire by only paying attention to the cutters trimming the conifer{small one}.Its a miracle that there is any cable left lol.
Its easy to fix.
Maybe a good idea to watch how your son repairs it.So the next time you will be able to do it yourself.

Yes Snowy I will find out how you do it but I'm abit scared of messing with electrics. I'm glad it can be fixed though as its so much easier with them..
