Hi Does anyone know which secondary school you would have gone to as a girl living in the Alderley Avenue area of Claughton, Birkenhead in the 1960s? Thanks

Maybe Park High School for boys on Park Road North and the girls part on Park Road South which became a co ed school in 1972 at both sites.

Surely it would have been 'The Girls' Sec.'. Now known as Park High for girls.

Thanks for the information. To ask a silly question, was Park High School for Girls a Grammar school, ie. a school you needed to pass the 11+ to get in? If so, was there another secondary school for those who didn't pass?
