If you pop into the Museum of Liverpool today (new museum on Waterfront), you can see the new History
Detectives gallery which documents human activity in the local area from the end of the ice-age onwards. There will be guided talks every hour by archaeologists, with all the information firmly rooted in the north-west. Loads of Wirral-related finds there too, including West Kirby hogback, Overchurch Runic Stone, Leasowe Man skull, Greasby Mesolithic Flints, Storeton Bronze Age rapier, and many more.
Come and say hi. I will be one of two archaeologists wearing a bright yellow jacket giving tours.
