Tivoli Theatre and boating pool, New Brighton. The Tivoli had some class acts back in the days. There was hot competition from the nearby Tower Ballroom

I vividly remember (as a nipper) shall we say 'gaining entry to the Tivoli' after it closed. It had a very earie feeling. I remember prancing around on the stage.

Is the building to the right of it the Ferry Hotel what became the Chelsea Reach and to the left hand side the way to the fairground and the Tower

It is. Egerton street to the left of the theatre. Tollemache street in the middle and Victoria road to the right. Note the dome on the far right building. We removed that in the sixties.

Nice bit of nostalgia there SS. Is that why you are called Soft Shoes?

also went around that boating pond a few times more than once,
fell in a couple of times too. My Mum and Dad ran guest house off Seabank Rd
