Get a moggy minor, they're cheap and you can do a hot rod conversion on them (if that's your thing)

£1500 aint gonna buy you much for a classic car mate. Get a corsa or something, and pay the tax, or up your budget a bit - the only thing you will find in that range tbh, apart from the likes of a mini, will be a restoration project.
