Wallasey man charged with possessing cocaine A WIRRAL man was arrested and charged following a raid at a house on Waterloo Road, New Brighton.Vernon Leigh, 57, was charged with the possession of cocaine with intent to supply. Police officers discovered a substantial quantity of powder believed to be cocaine, a hydraulic press and other drugs paraphernalia following the raid on Tuesday. The cocaine has an estimated street value of £40,000 to £70,000. Members of the community can pass information about drugs to police by ringing the Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111. THE ECHO

There's been a fair few arrests as late down in New Brighton (I am up the snob end of Upper Brighton!!). Wasn't so long ago it was Seacombe...then more recently Poulton!

Couldn't we have some sort if "Sticky topic", with a collection of named arrests (& charged?) & areas or where drugs were found? Only taken from the news of course! Maybe one for ASBO's as well!
