Where has all the money for roadworks come from? It seems to be going on all over the place after years and years of neglect.

Would it not have been better to do it as necessary rather than cause major disruption by doing it all at once?

Council doesn't control the money any longer. The council hasn't got much money for road repairs so they have to wait for grants from wherever, in this case is was the Liverpool City Region who no doubt in turn got a grant from the Government.

Government loves this arrangement, they totally control the Councils but the Councils still get the blame for everything.

I see your lights (and cables?) on the New ferry Bypass are all being replaced.

Hopefully with ones that actually work.

I would also hope this is being done at the expense of the original contractors as a number of them never ever worked!
