Green bins should be left out.

Grey bins should be taken in and put out by 7am Sunday 10th Feb (normally Saturday night for most people).

Brown bins will not be collected in advance of the next scheduled collection (even though you pay extra for this service!)

Definitely miffed about brown bin collection being missed completely. I don't imagine there'll be a refund either! Not that it's a lot of money, it's the principle of the thing. You've paid for it, you should receive it.

Just looked on the council website and it does state that they are not obliged to collect the brown bins in case of severe weather. Hmph. I wonder how many households have brown bins and what amount that represents?

Maybe they are not obliged to collect in severe weather, but when the contracts are renewed, I'm quite sure it doesn't have any clause stating the number of weeks when there might not be a collection. Does this mean that the next time the council renews the contract, they will get a rebate, which will not be passed on to the customers who have already paid for the service in advance !

Many of the bins that weren’t collected (and still haven’t been) are on roads that were salted and were only dangerous for a matter of a few hours.

There seemed to be a period of days when they did nothing despite many roads being salted and clear.

Well the grey bin went on time today and the green bin still sits there, technically the stuff in the green bin could be three weeks old. Phew!

Happily, the green bin was emptied on Saturday.
