It's drop in the ocean compared to what they have screwed out of the poor.
What this country desperately needs is a MAXIMUM lending rate, above which it is illegal to make loans. Many countries have had this for years, including that well-known extreme socialist country, the United States of America! It is disgraceful that this is considered so dangerously revolutionary that no politicians are even prepared to consider it.

Totally agree, if someone is having to use credit that is 69.9% APR then they clearly can't afford it - especially as the price of the item is effectively at least double with the ridiculous interest. If they can't afford it, then by law the company is not allowed to give them credit.
