The Booking Hall is a listed building, not sure about all of it. Being positioned where it is, it's not clear what could be done other than a ferry terminal. I reckon Peel will take it along with much more and run cruises in competition to Mersey Ferries. That was rumoured years ago, and maybe with good foundation.

Have you read the link I posted in a previous post on here ? It tells a lot for the immediate area.

I suppose it could always go up in flames, like the Woodside Hotel. wink

They do wedding receptions in the Woodside home restaurant and you can go on the ferries as part of the experience. I know someone who has just recently done that , said it was great.

October 1st 2015, several 'out of towners' used our Ferry Service from Woodside. Many of them said that travelling on the Mersey Ferry was the highlight of their journey.

Actually, Granny, those are the prices at Chester for the half hour river cruise only; if you want the bus tour as well, the cost is £13.50 for an adult.
Still think we want a direct service both ways between Woodside and Liverpool: every ten minutes and costs tuppence.

The last time I used the ferry at a weekend I found I couldn't get a simple £2 ticket across, I had to get one that included entry to the U Boat story, whether I wanted to go or not.

Looks as if the cheapest way to cross is by buying a Saveaway from £3.90. This will allow you to cross in both directions, but you can't stay on the ferry for the full cruise, you have to get off at Liverpool and get a new ticket.

Hi Chris, I did think how ridiculously cheap it was, but although they Itemise Cruise and Bus tour together, it's obviously not explained properly on their website. Thanks.

Merely, just disembark amongst the first passengers. Walk up the gangway, flash your Walrus card at the desk- new ticket issued- re-join the queue to get back on the Ferry. Simps.

Which is what I said, but I didn't think it necessary to spell it out for the slow learners.
Anyway, why not wait for the next ferry and spend an hour looking round the Museum of Liverpool?

I'm not sure you can do that. When I got on a few months ago at Seacombe, it went to Woodside then upstream to Lairds and then over to Liverpool.

On the return trip from Liverpool it went downstream almost parallel to New Brighton, then turned back to Seacombe, then onto Woodside.

The only direct service is during commuter hours Monday to Friday.
