Hugely popular Hilbre Explorer boat trips set to return in April


Wildlife watchers are already rushing to sign up for one of Wirral’s most unique attractions.

2015’s Hilbre Explorer boat trips, which take intrepid visitors on a tour of the Hilbre Island network, were booked solid throughout the season, which runs from late April until early October.

And bookings are now being taken for this year’s season, with many who missed out last year already signed up.

Cllr Chris Meaden, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture says: ‘2015 was a revelation. So many people got in touch to book trips that we were left with a waiting list running over into 2016.

A two-hour Hilbre Explorer trip costs £35 for adults, or £25 for children. A family of 2 children and 2 adults can pay the discounted price of £100. There are concessions available for group deals and midweek trips.

Children must be 8 years or older.

Bit cheaper on foot !
