well today i treated myself to a 250cc 2008 pit bike, now these are not your normal off road bikes, they are the miniature version of the bigger brother. i have to say it is very powerful and i have not even used full throttle yet. anyway its a 250cc 4 stroke with upside down forks and hydraulic disc brakes with wavy discs, adjustable Gas rear shock, im not sure on the power but it wheelies up very easy.

I dont have a picture at the moment but this is the same one

mine is the same as this but mines all ionized green

Looks a nice toy smile

However, recently (and I know your not going to use it round a pit lane lol) regs have changed, and 125cc is the max cc allowed to be ridden in a paddock / pit lane. Anything more than that must be road legal, and the rider must hold a valid license wink

ta for the info stu had it out round shotton paper today for 5hours and im fooked, took a piccy for yas minus the mud guards after i snapped them getting it into my car

spent yesterday tinkering in my garden fitted a new throttle cable but when i put it all back together it would not fire up. i tried everything i could but nothing seemed to work. i resorted to taking it to a bike shop. i got there and they said they was fully booked for 2weeks so couldnt do anything frown i gave them my puppy dog eyes and said its my only weekend off and the guy said he would have a very quick look at it for me. we took the carb apart and he said there was a part missing doh he ran into the shop and came back with the part and it fitting right in smile i went home and bump started it in my road and she roared to life smile

here some piccys

Me and ghost dog building my trailer

Home made number plate smile note how low the trailer rear is!!!

[Linked Image]

Bike fixed and new numberplate fitted. done some drilling and relocated the rear ramp so it was not so low

this was recorded via my helmet cam i bought.

P.S ghost dog is seen at the end for all his fans lol.

haha that was crap

looked staged lol

vid is good though, some good shots
Posted By: Wheels Re: Pit bikes - 15th Jul 2008 9:46pm
haha im glad you said it looked staged. ill take it as i fall off safely. but no it was not staged a stone got under the wheel when i shifted down the gears using engine braking into the corner. trust me falling off on concrete is not the best place to stage a crash.
