A much stricter drink-drive limit for young drivers is being called
for by the government's experts on drug policy. The government's advisory
committee on the misuse of drugs (ACMD) is recommending that the drink-driving
limit for drivers under 25 to be cut by nearly 40% in an attempt
to reduce accidents.

Well personally (I know I may seem a bit of a Kiljoy here) I think the drink drive limit should 0!

Okay, there should be some leeway incase of false readings/nautural alcahol, but I dont think anyone should drive after a drink.

It does not matter how much drink you have, even at the limit your reaction times and alertness will be reduced, as will your capability to drive.

Should be zero tolerance on drink drivers, I heard somewhere once that drivers who are under the limit, but have had a drink, make up for around 30% of accidents, although they can't all be directly related to drink.

If someone being under the limit, takes one life as a result of their drinking impairing thier ability to drive, thats one life too many in my opinion.

whenever I go out for a drink, I never have more than 1 pint and I normally drink pepsi after that and don't end up driving for about at least an hour after drinking.

Before I started driving I said I'd never do it, but I've only ever done it once, and I'd never do it again.

I think the limit should be brought down to the equivelent breathiliser reading of just less than a pint. That way, people can enjoy a pint, and sober up a bit before driving. It'll also give leeway for medicines and mouthwashes e.t.c. containing alchohol
