If anyone knows the ... playing loud music in the garden in Layton Avenue please let them know that they are making life hell for my mum who is 86 and has recently lost my dad.

If I had my way I'd send someone round to string them up and pull out their fingernails with pliers.

Go and sort it out yourself, revenge by proxy is no revenge at all.

As its the weekend you can not get in touch with any asbo environmental people. So you have no choice but to call the police. They can knock and tell them to turn it down.

This info is about 2yrs old when I had a guy thinking he could sing.

The police called, he turned it down, they left, he turned it up, I called back again, they said they could remove the equipment and they left. Apparently everyone in the street were miserable lol. He didn't do it again.

You can say you do not want your details to be used for the complaint.

Keep a log.

In my experience the law did work for me.

P.s. I've no idea who lives in that house'

Just an idea as it was 9 o clock. Before calling the police, why not go round and explain the situation. Us young people aren't all as bad as people make out you know. Then if you get a negative response call the fuzz.

Cue the abuse for sugesting that all young people aren't the same.

It's still going on and the perpetrators are certainly not what I'd call "young". They've got children of their own.

I'm certainly not confronting a gang of drunks alone and having called the police about this sort of thing before thay just say that (quite rightly) they've got real aggro to deal with on a Saturday night.

I'm keeping a noise log and have reported them to WBC before too.

Find out if they are owner-occupiers or tenants. If they are tenants you can approach the landlord if you can find out who it is. You can also complain directly to the Magistrates Court under S82 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

As it's now after 11pm, it has to be reduced in volume. Contact Environmental Health on Monday. They have to investigate your complaint. If it's a one off then chances are very little will be done though I'm afraid frown

Your kicking your own ass putting this on a public forum, police can't do nothing, they can threaten them to take the equipment away but in reality they cannot do that.

Leave them be and let them get on with it, it will fade out in the end.

Don't cause your mother or your self any grief you could do without.

I suggest you get this thread removed.

I would recommend going round there and explaining the situation in calm and friendly manner, get them to empathise with you.

A positive approach to this will probably get the job done and negativity just sparks rebellion and your problem will worsen.

Is it just a one off or is it a regular thing? If it is just a one off they could be celebrating an occasion or just having a get together and not realise how noisy they are and with all due respect if it is a small celebration then let them get on with it, its only for one night afterall, and they don't know your family circumstances.
However, if it is a regular occurence then you need to contact the relevant authorities to get something done about it as it would then be a nuisance.
I sympathise that your mother and yourself are grieving but if people don't know her situation then they can't do things to make the grief a bit easier to deal with by altering their lifestyles for a short while.
Hopefully, it was a one off and things are sorted.

They will probably be in bed having a lie in now. Get your mum to dig out her old James Last, Frank Ifeild and Frankie Vaughan LPs and put the speakers outside. tease

If its a regular thing they do then a dose of their own treatment will in order.
Hope things are ok today and your mum is not upset x
