Researchers in Germany have developed software that allows you to drive a car - with a mobile phone.

It is part of project aimed at creating a fully automated vehicle.

The BBC's Berlin correspondent Steve Rosenberg tried it out.

Only tonight, I was driving along and though 'Wouldn't it be great if I could drive my car with my phone'. :z

Imagine everyone driving by phone and then getting hit with a massive solar flare, the carnage would be huge. What's the back up for loss of signal? By the time this thing gets in only the super rich will be driving anyway.
Can you control a horse by phone?

I dont think so.

You can neigh and shout at it down the phone and their ears would twitch, but I doubt they'd listen.

Horses are controlled by leg movements wink

And think of the insurance, and what if the signals got tangled with other cars nearby, and the mobile battery ran out, and....
