https://www.medion-photoalbum.co.uk

You can host pics, vids and music on there.

what are your opinions of it?

Lol, tbh, it looks like just another web hosting package, but with different (and probably limited) clothing.

Personally, with anything on the web, id check out what the support is like before buying, and given medion's track record with support, they are a great company for bargains, but useless for support...

Its also oversold on both diskspace and bandwidth, but the type of people who will take it probably wont have a clue about the net anyway.

I see they offer "unlimited" bandwidth... "unlimited" bandwidth does not and never will exist, I think the total capacity of the entire internet is summit like 2PB, so how they can offer unlimited is beyond me.

Mind you, I wouldnt host with any of the corps, much easier to go to independent host.

Lol just remembered this from Unlimband, which is an organisation against companies selling customers a product that can never exist (unlimited bandwidth):

Any company offering "unlimited" bandwidth, is not morally right, as they are regarding as decieving their customers.

Ye will probably find their servers have 10Mbps NIC's grin

I've signed up and Im gonna give em a go, I shouldnt be getting much traffic anyway, but that depends on if they allow direct linking and take that off your bandwith, who knows.

Id stick with the free one, until you have used it for a good few months and have had a chance to test it out etc...

Last thing ye want is loadsa images that you have used on the net, all deleted in an instant because they have closed your account for whatever reason.

Corps tend to terminate an account without question the first abuse report they recieve for copyright to protect themselves, so make sure anything you upload you hold the copyright for and ye should be okay.

That happened with my fotopic account just coz I didnt login for 30days.

I will only be uploading my own "select" photos onto there, sort of like a portfolio.

I usually post all my pics on here 1st anyway, then direct link onto other forums from here with a wikiwirral hotlink attached to the image. Could Wikiwirral offer a members gallery for "Premium" members?
