The Pirate Bay (TPB), a well known torrent tracker presumably has the proof that big record and movie labels are hiring professional hackers, saboteurs and DDoSers to destroy
their trackers.

On their blog TPB says that while browsing through emails leaked from MediaDefender-Defenders they have identified the companies that are also active in Sweden (where TPB is from).

TPB has reported these incidents to the police with charges for: infrastructural sabotage, denial of service attacks, hacking and spamming and all of these on a commercial level.

Check out http://www.xatrix.org/article.php?s=4462 for the full article and a Link to download the Emails if intrested..

Help To read the emails as they are in a MBOX file copy the Main MBOX file in the RAR file (these are spanned across 14mb rar files) so open up part01 and extract it to the Desktop then when you have Installled or already use Thunderbird copy the MBOX file to c:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profles\*******.default\Main\Local Folders

Start Thunderbird to let it create a MSF file and then read away gotta say its very intresting apart from being nosey.. Talk about bad Security..

P.S. If this post is not accetable by Admin or Mods then feel free to delete it but i thought i would be intrested to people who use PirateBay or other Torrent sites..

Just from reading your comments above
i'm not surprised to be honest.
The Music Industry must be loosing heaps with Internet sites.

But i'm of the opinion that its about time,
a fair price for music would stop all this.

Good Luck to the Torrent site and similar.

Haha quality, go the pirates! I only buy music when the albums are of a high standard. I dont buy singles at all. And very few albums are ever of a high standard nowadays.

Most artists do it solely for money and not the love of music nowadays, this is even more so thanks to the Pop Idol generation, so I refuse to.

On top of this, the music companies are robbing, cheating blahblahs who I really cannot be arsed with supporting.

The email file is very intresting has loads of IP addresses which Mediadefender use and its clear what they do they clone torrents on torrent sites and log IP addresses which use it or Seed it then report but whats annoying is how they do it through proxies ?? So this company is breaking the law also for doing this but I think its wrong to of been posted as it contains sensitive information so ive completely deleted it from my laptop as i do not want to Breach the data protection act cause i saw phone numbers and full names etc so its deffo breaking the law if you download this.. smirk So not recommended smirk

Lol am only checking, cos those netblocks are owned by LeaseWeb, and they are notorious for their network being used for DDoS attacks thanks to lack of security intervention and a gigantic network lmao!

Ahh smile i think they have there own with the Servers they have to be honest they must work hard to the bone to stop piracy but if they are using stuff which is going down the lines of Hacking i.e. Denial of Service then im with the pirates cause what right do they have to DDOS yes there breaking the law in the eyes of the movie and music industry but there will always be away around everything.. Everyone used to copy cassettes off people damn even recording the Radio station breach of copyright theres always going to be Piracy i dont care what anybody says but since the start of the Internet its starting to get more and more out of hand.. So whats next for pirates and the movie and music industrys ?? I dunno to be honest i think anybody whos got the internet has downloaded an album, game, application etc etc everyone at some point has done it but its getting done more and more each day its like know somebody will be downloading a movie, album, game, application cause the internet is a big place know.. Anyway....... smile
