I have a pic in a book about the dam bursting while building the original bridge / dock!! 14 people lost their lives, 1 survived by being "BLOWN" out of the water by the impact!!! Apparently, they used rotten timber and loose stone to shore up the dam and keep the waters out, one storm later and the lot came in!! How cheap was life then?? yes
