I remember as a kid playing on the huge rocks in the Park. (I think it was the Upper Park.)
There was one shaped like a piano if I remember rightly!.
Anyone got any pics or clues to where they are/where?

Still there, lower park i think, i always get them the wrong way round, head of the lake.

I wonder if the rocks originate from the local landscape or were brought in from further afield when the park was being created?

Perhaps they were something to do with 'The Bonks'?

Perhaps they were from the excavation of Morpeth Dock as suggested by Derek the original poster of pic2(run mouse over pic)
