the is a women that lives at the top of my road, and recently we have heard that she has been moaning about me and seans car speeding past her house and being too loud, we dont speed past her house at all, this women is about 50 and has two dauters the same age of me (19) so she isnt that old, today she was speaking to my nan and was moaning about us, and said she is going to report us to the police for speeding and are cars being too loud, that doesnt bother me at all cause i cant see the police doing much, but what i want to no is,
if the police come round and see that my car has no number plate on and its parked on my drive, so its on private property can they still give me a £30 fine or can they only do that on a public road,

Bad luck may be

your driving home and there outside your house.

Get the reg plate sorted,
then its one less thing for them to harrass you with.

Get a sticker one mate, I think it'd suit your car quite well. You can buy the backgrounds from eBay and the numbers from motorworld. Make sure it's a reflective background though.

nope, ive tried the number plate in loads of different locations on the front and it looks best without one at all

I think you could say the same for most cars mate! If you got pulled up about it what would you do? Coz it'll happen sooner or later doh
Posted By: lawton Re: No Reg Plate : On Private Property - 28th Sep 2006 7:32pm
yeah, ill get pulled soon, ill just say it fell off before so have just put it in the front window until i get home, and if i cant talk my way out of it then ill just get a £30 fine

We no ye dont speed, ur mostly cruisin around!.
She prob jst seen ye car all looking gd an shes jelous or wen eva she hears boi racers raggin it around she automatically thinks its urs/seans car.

Its true tho innit, wen a boi racer rags it passed by the time she looks out the window its gone so she wudnt no its ur/seans car unless she has seen u ragin it passed her house but doubt u wud do that.

Police crnt relli do nothing, an as the to reg wot the ova peeps have been sayin lol.

shag her daughter(s) lmao.

Mate it was silly to do what u done with the plates, a car on a drive doesnt need a plate on at all, however put it on mate. UR car looks DAFT with it in the windscreen, yeah the bumper looks cool but the white lump in ur window looks gay. Get a small sticker one under ur bumper grille at the centre (so a nice slim one) (you may still get hassle due to it being illegal size and font and the fact it meets no requirements to be legal) but at least its there so they may let u off

well, it looks like your the only one who thinks that, and i didnt ask for you opinion about if it looked daft in the window or not, its been three months without the plate on and its my car so ill do what i like, if i get a fine for it then thats my problem, also i do have a small number plate but even that looks horrible so iam not having a number plate on the front,

mark your askin for trouble mate not havin a front plate

it does look pants in the window to be honest looks like a job not done properly.

When u made this topic u effectively asked for our opinion without asking. The whole points of the topics are to discuss the topic. The topic being reg plates not being on the front of the car,and what i said above is my opinion on what u have done

Is there a way to put the reg plate on the bumper but make it easay to remove for show purposes.I think that ALL reg plates look shit on all cars but i'd never take the plates off any car of mine and put it in the window cos it looks stupid, and is illegal,ur choice at the end of the day. Pay 30 pound every time the policve see u to make ur bumper look a lil bit better and have a "half-a-job" look in ur windscreen, nah thanks.

My Pennies worth......

I agree it looks better without a Reg Plate, however having it in your windscreen looks like the car isnt finished off yet. As if you have just collected it from a bodyshop or something...

You do need to mount it correctly or the car looks like an unfinished project.....

Tupac just so you know mate: it's illegal to fit these after a certain date, but if it was fitted before that date then it's ok to leave on. Best bet is, if asked, to say it was on when you bought the car.
