SO Wirral Council decides to resurface some of the road around the Leasowe road roundabout, apart from a few small pot holes here and there i thought the road to be ok, and as i ride a motorbike i should know if the roads are good or bad, yet the Council rips up quite a bit of the road nearly as far as the school, but why has it taken so long to replace the tarmac, its been a week now they have rollers and other machines parked outside the school, surly they could rip the older road up and relay in a few days, rode over it today and still not finshed.
Find it strange as to why certain roads get Wirral Councils attention and other roads which are a disgrace are just left!
Maybe if they are in a resufacing moond they could rip the crap they put down on the New Brighton prom road last year and replace it with tarmac.

Found the road from moreton shore towards Wallasey village very undulating as if its subsided in places.

It did subside after they did some work to the sewers or something. A couple of months later they had to dig the road up again. If we get heavy rain the dips fill up with water and driving in the left hand lane is like piloting a lifeboat through a stormy sea.

Maybe the company responsible has quoted a certain time span and they have to stick to it. In the meantime, start another job.

Wasn't there talk recently about fines being imposed on companies that have road works going on for excess amount of time. Maybe this sort of thing will go down on the records towards justification for the time necessary. It sounds silly but the twisted ways Councils and companies operate now, nothing would be surprising anymore.

Personally, I don't give a monkeys any longer. Let them do what they want, approve what they want, spend what they want until they are up to their necks in it again. We already saw a number of Council employees evaporated a few short years ago. There will always be more, public need to be more vigilant and go to higher places to complain at certain times. These people seem to forget, they are our servants. We pay them, we vote for them, so how is it we can get into trouble if we dare to speak our mind to them ?
There's only so much council tax they can take from us before crucifying every one, so they need to negotiate better deals, and that means quality that lasts longer, rather than simply the cheapest option. They should also get guarantees with the work done (maybe they do) but a road re surfaced, to be dug up for drains, to be re surfaced, to be dug up for water mains, to be re surfaced. ? Who sits making the decision of what when and how ?

Gripe of the day..

Thanks granny, went along there this morning on way home from work, and its now down, infact ther was two guys marking thos silly give way line on the roundabout, so as you try to leave Leasowe road you have to stop and give way to traffic on your left, in stead of having the markings on the other side of the road, ie the side St Mary's school is on. then you can filter out.
As for the new road surface, not inpressed!
