This evening, family and myself went to the Cherry orchard.
My grandaughter is 3 and played in Fuzzy Ed's play area.
I saw face paints in the corner and drew a pirates face on my grandaughter and christ you would have thought i had killed someone.

The 2 young girls went and got the manager and all 3 of them stood behind the counter talking about me. I went over and asked them if there was a problem to which they all looked at each other.

I asked if it was because i had used the paint and they said yes.Because of this they said over a loud speaker that children who were not with the party had to leave. The only child that was not with the party was my grandaughter.

We left with a crying ,hungry child.
We wont be going there again!!!
Not surprised the place was empty if this is how they treat there customers.

It's laughable really.

Apparently it is £2 to get it done and when i asked if they wanted me to pay they just looked at each other ,so obviously i never paid.

Told them we were going to spend our £40+ elsewhere.
We went to the derby pool and i won my grandaughter a peppa pig, so smiles all round.

It only scored a 1 in food hygiene ratings anyway so I wouldn't be too bothered to be honest...

Customer Service Epic Fail!

I wonder if they realise that every member of the public that they come into contact with is a walking, talking advertisement for their business? And that most of us have access to the internet?!

DUH! smack

You come off junction 8 on m53 and do a left at roundabout and follow the road round and its on your right few hundred yards down. Its a nicer place with friendly staff and nice food to. Its bigger than fuzzy eds too. If ya can check it out and maybe have a look on line first

Why would you think it was free to use the face paint?
It does seem like over re-action from both staff and customers and as always no winners.
I have no experience of the place at all.

IIRC you have to pay to get into the soft play bit already so the OP probably thought that the face painting that they'd already paid for.

We were thinking about a pub lunch today anyway and was reminded of the Derby Pool by this thread. Had a great feed - got to recommend the Chicken sharing platter laugh
