Did anyone else see an odd looking helicopter flying over Wallasey Village today at 3.30pm? It was white with two wing like extensions one either side where wings on a plane might be. It definitely wasn't the Police helicopter and kept flying around a fairly tight circle over Mosslands Drive or thereabouts. I thought it might be taking photos or taking pollution levels but couldn't see what was so interesting about the area. It flew about eight times round but didn't land.
Yep, just coming out of Lidl when we saw it, looked like it was doing some kind of survey of sorts maybe.
Sounds like the Eurocopter X3.

Wasn't one of those, looked like a Squirrel helicopter and had two spars extending out from the bottom of the main body.
It did yes, not sure the spars extended out quite as far as that, maybe it was something to do with the mini windfarm at West Wallasey Van Hire?
Chopper out over river tonight for a long time then flew back over New Brighton towards Liverpool. Sounded very heavy duty but only lights visible.
It flew over the Wallasey dock area this morning, strange looking thing. Did not hear any noise from it even though it was overhead. Google mapping maybe ?
Yeah I agree with Tedmus, it looked similar to this. Perhaps they were collecting air samples over the tip area.
Air samples from Dillys house lol

no it looked nothing like a conventional copter, what we saw was more a triangular shape with two tails and a spar across them.

there was a similar copter to this over rhyl last week
suspect was not a helicopter (with 2 tail booms - din't know of any), was it a flying car ? :
