we have two ! This is "the wash monster" below should be "the skylarc". We've had this one in service for 14 years ! the skylarc was commissioned last summer, the pictures below were taken as we were due to depart from Hunstanton for a trip to Skegness & on the beach with the ramp down, we took a car with us. How does she handle ? with a triple rudder & 4huge wheels all on the same hydraulic system she will turn almost in her own length,on land with 4 wheel steer she's pretty nimble too.Two,300Hp v8 12.8 litre engines you should hear her roar !

Maybe we could all come down for a ride when the weather gets a little warmer.

I remember regularly walking past one of these in a small dockside yard in Great Yarmouth. It never moved and looked like it need a bit of TLC (or it was just really dirty), shame if it never was used again.

Nice to see what they look like working.

Great pics. Seeing that burbling out of the fog towards you would be quite something ! Thanks for posting.

Apparently it was the one I used to see in Yarmouth.
They are quite the thing to see in the flesh, I can only imagine the sound the engines made though.

Any videos washmonster?

The machine at Moreton is a baby one in the LARC world. It is a LARC v(5 TON).The LARC lx is the big one, a massive thing on 4wheels with 4 engines & 2 props. It's fair weather load is 100 tons. Skylarc.
