On my trips round Ireland I have always used wifi in bars / pubs etc, I will be staying in Fermoy for 8 weeks from next week does anyone know anything about using WIFI Dongles as I want to take a laptop with me, thanks for any help in advance.

Do you mean a dongle that connects to the 4G phone network?

Am also interested in the answer to this , its such a pain when you go somewhere and their internet costs a fortune or is rubbish .

You just buy one andf top it up as you would with your phone on PAYG.

Also if you have an iphone you can use it as a hotspot.

Most smart phones have a hot spot so you can tether another device. If you've not got enough data on your phone contract just buy extra for the month and tether your laptop.
