has anyone got any photo's of marne street/grosvenor street /brunswick street etc please
Can't find any photographs, Rock ferry urban areas were generally very poorly photographed in the past.
Also Pitt St.
Marne St was originally called Blucher St but seemed to change name after a very short period of time possibly when Grosvenor St was built.
I can only suggest you try the Wirral Archive Service.
Don't recognise any of those names, where about in Rock Ferry were they?
They were parallel to and on the South side of St Pauls Road, they ran up from New Chester Road to what was Earl St which is now Thorsway/Lees Avenue.
Or putting it another way, parallel to Ionic and Gothic on the St Pauls Road side of the school.
Thanks DD ,I lived other side of newchester road towards river. I know where you mean now but don't know those names at all.
A previous thread may give you some more background information about the area and previous road names.

I was born in Pitt Street. But I don't have any photos.
Hi Spellbinder, long time no see
Some may be interested in this. I have a copy and every page has old photographs on it. He did one of old Bebington too.
