Does anybody know what the Hall in Alvanley Place was called, I went to Sunday School and the "Lifeboys" there in the late 40s early 50s, one of my daughters asked me the question last week, I couldn't remember so I googled it, google comes up with Oznam Hall, which is what St Vincents de Paul call it now, but that wasn't the original name, any idea?

The church on the corner of Merton Place was the Catholic Apostolic Church (1911 Directory)

The Alvanley Place/ Grange Rd West church was the Church Of Christ, 1904-1951.
In 1951 it moved to the corner of Merton Place.

Thanks for the info, I didn't realise it belonged to the Church on the corner of Merton Place, I should have done, I lived in Merton Place from 69 to 88, directly behind the Hall. There was a murder in the Hall a long time ago, perhaps someone will post the details. Thanks
