Sorry I dont have any pictures of the old shops and the Birkenhead market but if the following is of any use to you I do remember some buildings that were there proir to the demolition of the shops.

There were four cinemas at the top of Conway street at the tunnel end three allmost next door to each other and another one opposite side of the road this was called the RITZ a cinema and used to have live shows there with celebrities appearing there stage and screen.

There are plenty of pictures of Conway St and the market on Wiki, and a search will flag-up loads of them as there are several topics that overlap their information.

Are you looking at any era? Pictures go from the present day back through the flyover era, with its regeneration both before and afterwards, and back to the days of the trams running along it.

For example, a topic entitled 'The Old Market' can be seen here. .

And in the picture gallery, there is 'Conway Street 1915' which can be seen here.

Hope this help you on your way..
