This is the web.site to check whether youve been hacked or not. Says my accounts are ok but I dont know how reliable it is. Was given out by moneysavingexpert

one of the key messages is that the data hacked dates back to 2013, so if your password details/security question etc that was in use then for Yahoo could have been or has since been in use for other accounts, even if not for banking, would be in your interest to change them.

It could be in result of an up and coming buy out ??
Ive never rated Yahoo personally but i say its as vulnerable as any other provider.

The Main thing to do if you have a Yahoo account is to update you passwords and security questions.
I would do it even if you're not on there list of compromised accounts.

It makes good reading, however i wouldnt want to enter my account details into a none yahoo site search at this time. I would just assume if your with Yahoo your details at the least need to be updated.

These guys wont be the last to fall victim. Cyber war is real, and the trophies are getting larger each time.

If you're with sky they use yahoo to setup your emails wink

If you only use your yahoo email for freecycle stuff and it would seem from whats been said, the set up for your sky account, not any kind of personal info, does it matter if its hacked - can they use it to jump off into some other areas of your info? Im going to change my password again, but its probably too late once theyre in .

Although Yahoo haven't said it, I'm pretty sure your date of birth was also obtained. I normally give a false DOB to anything like that, generally only financial things that need my correct DOB get the real one. I have three birthdays a year, my completely wrong one, my almost right one and my correct one.

EDIT: My mum had quite a few different maiden names as well wink
