Where there are drugs there are guns, Wirral has its own appalling track record in its own right.

Turf wars , Drug lords, robberies and mugging etc all down to addiction to drugs. Legalise them like lots of other countries doing . I've said this before , let clinics organise the giving out of drugs to addicts. It would cost but in long run sure not as much as it costing now both in money and lives. Still pushing the message home about drug use and it's perils in schools. I know it sounds crazy but how we handling it now is not working and indeed getting worse.

Have you seen the behaviour of people on some of these drugs, they are a threat to society and nothing should be done which would increase the number of people that behave like that.

Then there is the drug-driving problem, legalising the use of drugs would enormously increase the number of people driving under the influence. 130 taxi-drivers were done for drugs in Liverpool last year, the problem is already big, we do not want it worsened.

Do you really think legalising drugs would make them cheaper? Far from it, the legal drugs would be dear meaning there would still be a black market in place for cheaper drugs. If there is an age limit for legal drugs this will make kids an even greater target for dealers than they are now.

How are you going to protect kids, we already have an extensive problem with very young kids drinking alcohol as well as taking a variety of illegal drugs - is that going to get better or worse if drugs are legalised? It might not kill them that often but it has a detrimental affect on their education, development and health.

Many of the drugs are really bad for your health, the increased cost and burden to the NHS would be unsustainable.

Despite all the misleading statements in the MSM, very few countries have significantly legalised drugs. Don't forget that drugs were legal in England for many years, they were banned for the detrimental effect on society because of the "underworld" the legal drugs created.

Portugal is commonly quoted as an example but its all smoke and mirrors, Portugal has NOT legalised drugs, they changed the process and punishments of dealing with illegal drugs use.

Amsterdam had a huge failure in their program of legalising drugs that totally backfired.

Its easy to see some advantages in legalising drugs but you have to look at the whole picture not just the rosy bits. (If I'm allowed to use the word "rosy" these days as it also pertains to the colour of some people's skin!)

Most of these shootings and stabbings are related to drugs, I'am sorry I feel no sympathy for those involved in making or selling them, the blighted lives and misery that drugs cause because someone wants a BMW or some other "must Have" well that was an unhappy meal for him and extra pressure on the NHS, lucky no one else was caught up in the incident.
